Kiersten was born in Annapolis, MD where she initially was exposed to interior design and architecture having grown up surrounded by her grandmother, an Interior Designer and her father who could envision a space and make it a reality. She spent her college years in Burlington, VT earning her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education studying in the heart of the Appalachian mountain aesthetic. She then taught in New York City for a number of years before moving on to pursue her passion in organization and management. Although she now calls Jackson home, prior to working for Design Associates she was a design assistant for a firm in Washington, DC allowing her to hone her appreciation and perceptiveness to a diverse collection of design styles and spaces. Her love for being surrounded by the creative minds of architects and designers coupled with her attention to detail and organizational skills have made her a perfect fit as the Operations Manager for Design Associates. She is thrilled to be surrounded by the natural beauty of Jackson pursuing a career that she loves.
